Mark O'Leary Riot Riot Riot (Raf Simons)

 Riot, Riot, Riot was conceived, sang-froid on January 2nd 2021. Conjuring and a new synth sub genre manifested, we've had a few. Magic, albeit, I needed a concept for what has been conceived. Perusing upon Raf Simons and his Riot Riot Riot fashion Expo (AW01) and in particular the camouflage Harrington jackets worn by Rihanna, Drake and Kim Kardashian, emblazoned with a silhouette portrait outline of Richie Edwards.

One could conceive this tune being intrinsically inserted into the aesthetic organically, it worked, its congruent sui generis to its zeitgeist, a modicum of Belgian Zen infused into the admixture. With a recent remix juxtaposed with the mores of Raf Simons, Riot Riot Riot remix has metastasized and been etched into the braids and tapestry of our synth pop sub genre.

Also his tune Supermodel is alluded to as Vince Clarke era Depeche Mode. His forthcoming album Liberty Kansas Sun has several songs redolent of Depeche Mode including Basildon Chap.  In my Synth pop band Voltaire, when we started, we actually played a few Human League riffs, right at the very beginning, so we started with those songs as we all knew them and then we started extemporizing and it sounded like Cabaret Voltaire, who were receiving a lot of airplay at the time on MTV, so during our tea break I mentioned to the lads, we should call the band Voltaire, because what we just played, sounded like them, they agreed and that is how we started.
